Monitor your solar inverter from your phone: SMA, Fronius, Huawei, Sungrow

Last updated: 7 October 2026

See your solar production and battery in the same app as the rest of your home. The inverter is read directly over your local network with Modbus TCP, without the manufacturer's cloud; no account needed.

Which devices?

  • SunSpec inverters: SMA, Fronius, SolarEdge, Kostal
  • Huawei SUN2000
  • Sungrow SH (hybrid)
  • Victron GX

How does it connect?

Add device → Solar inverter → pick the brand and enter the inverter's IP address. Modbus TCP must be enabled on the inverter (in the manufacturer's app or installer settings). With a Home Hub, the Hub reads the inverter, so data stays current while your phone is away.

What can you do?

  • Live production power and MPPT strings
  • Energy produced today and in total
  • Grid import and export
  • Battery charge/discharge power and state of charge
  • Read-only: inverter settings are never changed

FAQ

Can I change my inverter's settings?
No. The connection is read-only by design; inverter settings stay in the manufacturer's app.

Why is there no data at night?
Many inverters go to sleep after sunset and stop answering Modbus. Values return during the day.

Is this support ready?
It is new and marked Beta in the app; it has not yet been tried on a real unit of every inverter model. If values look wrong, send the brand and model via Account → Feedback.
