By using the BluConnect app and website, you agree to these terms.
The service
BluConnect lets you control smart devices from different manufacturers in a single app. Your devices are controlled through the manufacturers' own local protocols and cloud services; the availability of these services, and any changes to or outages of them, are the responsibility of the manufacturers. BluConnect is not affiliated with any manufacturer; brand names belong to their owners and are used only to indicate compatibility.
Your account
You are responsible for the security of your account and of the manufacturer accounts you connect. People you invite to your home can control your devices to the extent of the permissions you give them.
Safe use
Follow the manufacturer's safety instructions when operating devices such as ovens, hobs, heaters or boilers remotely or through automations. The app may fail to deliver a command or deliver it late; do not rely on the app alone in safety-critical situations.
Unacceptable use
You may not use the service to access devices or accounts belonging to others without permission, to disrupt the service, or to abuse it through reverse engineering.
BluConnect Plus subscription
BluConnect can be used with the free plan; additional features and limits are unlocked with a BluConnect Plus subscription. Plus is purchased through the App Store or Google Play as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time purchase; payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are subject to the rules of the relevant store. Unless cancelled in your store account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the period, the subscription renews for the same duration at the current price. The free trial offered to new subscribers is valid once per person. The one-time purchase does not renew; it unlocks Plus for as long as the BluConnect service is offered and is not a "lifetime" commitment. Plus is available to all members of the homes managed by the subscriber. When the subscription ends, your account and data are not deleted; the limits of the free plan apply. BluConnect may be discontinued in part or in full, or the app may be removed from the stores, for reasons such as becoming commercially unsustainable, the shutdown of manufacturer connections, or legal requirements. In that case all Plus entitlements, including the one-time purchase, end: the one-time purchase is a right of use limited to the period during which the service is offered, and no separate refund is given because the service is discontinued. If we discontinue the service, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance and stop subscription renewals. Your rights under store rules and applicable law are reserved.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from failures of devices, manufacturer services or the internet connection.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; we announce significant changes in the app. You can delete your account from the app at any time.
