Control Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners and Ecodan heat pumps in one app (MELCloud)

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Manage your Mitsubishi Electric air conditioner and Ecodan heat pump in the same app as your lights and boiler. Whether you use the older MELCloud app or the newer MELCloud Home, link your account once and the devices on it appear.

Which devices?

  • Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners (air-to-air, ATA)
  • Ecodan heat pumps (air-to-water, ATW)
  • Ventilation units (ERV; classic MELCloud only)

How does it connect?

Add device → Mitsubishi Electric; pick the app you use (MELCloud or MELCloud Home) and sign in with your email and password. Sign-in runs on the BluConnect server only to obtain a session; your password is not stored. MELCloud does not like frequent polling, so status refreshes about every 5 minutes.

What can you do?

  • Power, mode (heat, dry, cool, fan, auto) and target temperature
  • Fan speed, vertical and horizontal vanes
  • Room and outdoor temperature, energy use
  • Ecodan: zone temperatures, hot water tank target, forced hot water, holiday mode

FAQ

Should I pick MELCloud or MELCloud Home?
Whichever app you use your unit with. Just check the name of the Mitsubishi Electric app on your phone; both account types work the same way.

Do I need a Home Hub?
No. Automations also run on the BluConnect server with your MELCloud account while your phone is off.

Is this support ready?
It is new and marked Beta in the app and has not yet been tried on a real unit. If something is off, send the model via Account → Feedback.

BluConnect is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Start free; upgrade to Plus when you need it. See plans ↗
