Matter is the cross-brand smart home standard. In BluConnect, Matter devices are added straight from your phone and controlled locally, no extra hub.

- Matter bridges (with their child devices)
How does it connect?
New out of the box: scan the QR code and Apple's or Google's setup screen handles Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Already in Apple Home or Google Home: use the "pairing mode" code there; it stays in that app too. Thread devices need a Thread border router at home (HomePod mini, Apple TV, Nest Hub).

- Routines that run while your phone is off, with Home Hub
FAQ
Do I need a hub for Matter?
Not for Wi-Fi Matter devices. Thread devices need a Thread border router at home; the BluConnect Home Hub is optional.
